II. Early life and career

Filip Petrusev was born on February 11, 1999, in Belgrade, Serbia. He began playing basketball at a young age and quickly showed promise. He attended the prestigious Mega Bemax Basketball Academy in Belgrade, where he developed into one of the top young players in Europe.

In 2017, Petrusev moved to the United States to attend Gonzaga University. He played two seasons for the Bulldogs, helping them to reach the NCAA Final Four in 2019.

After his sophomore season, Petrusev declared for the 2020 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 50th overall pick.

Petrusev has spent the past two seasons playing for the Kings’ G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings. He has also made two appearances for the Kings in the NBA.

III. College career

Petrusev played college basketball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs from 2018 to 2021. In his freshman season, he averaged 8.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. In his sophomore season, he averaged 12.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. In his junior season, he averaged 17.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. In his senior season, he averaged 17.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Petrusev was named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team in all four seasons. He was also named to the NABC All-District 8 First Team in his junior and senior seasons.
